North Bradbury Farm Guest Charter

What we are doing to ensure that you have a great and most importantly safe stay at North Bradbury Farm.

We have the ‘Good to Go‘ kite mark from Visit England to show we have understood and are following the government and public health guidelines. We have carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment and have made any necessary changes to your cottage and the areas you will be using. We have joined PASC (the professional association of self-caterers) and are strictly following their cleaning recommendations and using virucidal cleaning products, to make sure your cottage and our farm are Covid–19 ready.

Inside your cottage we have had to remove some of the soft furnishings, books and soft toys that aren’t possible to clean properly.

We have prepared the shared outside  facilities for your use. When using any of the outside communal areas please use the spray provided, sanitise hands regularly and socially distance with other guests, staff and us. It is a good idea to carry hand sanitiser and a mask (if over 11 years old) at all times.

The pool will be open (April – October) and we will follow  the Government guidelines www.gov.uk – which at the moment recommend one family at a time using the pool. Time slots can be booked for the pool during the regular opening times – late morning until 5.45 pm. The pool cannot be used if we aren’t here or on Sundays.

Despite the government guideline on having no  inside communal spaces open to our guests they have now said that clothes washing facilities can be opened. I know a lot of you will be pleased about this. With our utility room being so small we ask that you limit your use and always practice social distancing with the other guests. If the weather isn’t good enough to dry your washing and swimming stuff outside please hang it up in the utility room and NOT your cottage ! There are two lazy daisy’s one for each cottage!

Please open windows and doors regularly in your cottage to keep them aired.

All gates including the entrance gate have a disinfectant spray by them – please spray all the parts of the gate you need to touch before entering and leaving.

The play areas will be sprayed every week but on a daily basis please use the Cleaning Stations before you use these areas.

We are now running our twice daily (except Sundays) feed runs as a tour! This means that Farmer Chris no longer has to be counted in, we have no limit on group size as long as it is only two households within the group. EVERYONE over 11 years old needs to wear a mask (unless exempt for any reason)and social distancing. Children under 11 years old do not have to wear a mask or socially distance. EVERYONE needs to wear wellies for the feed runs.

Pony rides can be booked as normal. Please ask one of us.

We would ask that you minimise asking us to enter your cottage during your stay. Any problems please discuss with us when we are out in the yard. If it is urgent outside of these times message me – 07969420908

On your arrival, the cottages will be ready for you from 5pm onwards – please advise as to an ETA We’re sorry about the later check in – but with all the extra cleaning, sanitising and ventilating of your cottages we need the extra time.

What we are asking you to do is to help us ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable holiday – We ask that you remember to socially distance and follow all the Covid-19 and the usual farm guidelines. When you are out and about please be respectful of local people and places you visit. Be rigorous in following social distancing when out in public.

If  you show any signs of having the virus then you must immediately go and get tested by contactinghttps://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-and-tracing/get-an-antigen-test-to-check-if-you-have-coronavirus/

While you are waiting you and your party will need to social distance.

The result must be shown to us. If positive you will need to leave. If you are not well enough to leave and you have to self-isolate here, then you will have to pay for ALL bookings that have to be cancelled as a result.

We will need to provide full details on every guest, so we can pass it on to the NHS if it is required.

We will be following government guidelines at all times on group sizes and the amount of households that can holiday together. We cannot not police this so ask there that you risk assess your own party and decide for yourself if your group is appropriate.

Remember that the best way to stay safe is to regularly wash hands thoroughly.

On your departure, please check out by 9am at the latest.

We have an awful lot to get through before the next guests arrive.

Please do the following before leaving –

  • Open all windows and doors and leave the keys on the inside of the door.
  • Fill the dishwasher with as much crockery and cutlery as possible (we have to wash every piece in the cottage  even if you haven’t used it!)
  • Empty all bins – Please make sure all nappies are bagged.
  • Strip the beds and put all bedding including the duvets, pillows and mattress protectors ( not mattress covers!) in the black bags provided. Please put towels, shower curtain, tea towels, oven glove and bathmat in bags too. Please don’t put anything wet on top of duvets and pillows!
  • Remove all the food you have brought into the cottage. Anything suitable for any of our animals please advise Farmer Chris.

Please make sure you take out Covid-19 inclusive travel insurance with the constantly changing government guidelines. Please also make sure you have read our regular Terms & Conditions which you can find on our website.

Thankyou , Farmer Chris & Tracey
